WELCOME BACK to 2nd Saturdays! April 10, 2021
Hello awesome Friends of the SLPs,
I trust you have hiked all of our stairs and paths throughout the past insane year, and in doing so I'm sure you sulked at not being able to volunteer on the 2nd Saturday morning of every month. Well, your blues are going to be over starting SATURDAY APRIL 10 AT 9AM! We have two fun projects lined up for the next couple of months.
Given it is still important that we socially distance and wear our masks I've got a nice easy FAMILY project planned to loosen us up. Here's the scoop:
Between Cascade and the stage in Old Mill Park there is (was, should be) a nice decomposed granite ADA path. Right now this is a mess. So we are going to rake it out and lay down a layer of DG, tamp it and generally spiff up the joint. This means RAKES, and a few shovels and such. Should be easy peasy and as the City is going to place the DG close to where we need it our hauling should be straightforward. NO STAIRS! YAY!
I am hoping for a bang-up turnout, so don't let me down! There is room for many.
DATE: Saturday April 10
WHERE: Old Mill Park - meet at the stage
WHAT TO BRING: Masks, gloves, rakes, flat shovels, sense of humor, friends, kids and water to drink.
