Finally, an "easy" 2nd Saturday project! We've worked very hard the past two months on a couple of tough SLPs in need of care.
This Saturday March 9 at 9am we are going to clean up a short, well-used pathway that cuts between W. Blithedale and Winwood Place (just off of Corte Madera Avenue).
SLP's 60 and 64 have a long long history. In the days of the Railroad there used to be a hotel on W. Blithedale where visitors from out of town who took the train to the mountain peak and back could stay overnight. The old pathway, bridge and stairs were the route traversed to get to the hotel. We can imagine the men in their suits and ladies in their dresses while we do our work.
Park on W. Blithedale just past La Goma Lane. You will find the SLP at the end of a driveway (shared easement) at 193 W. Blithedale.
Pruning clippers and/or shears
See you there. 9am. No RSVP needed. Just show up with a smile!
P.S. We may send a few folks, depending on turnout, over to La Paloma Lane to clean up a small fallen tree if it is still there.
