Our First 2nd Saturday Project of 2019
Happy New Year!
I am trusting that you all have had a nice holiday season which included many meanders around town with family, including trips up/down/over some of our awesome Steps Lanes and Paths. I discovered several new trails during my rambles, including a few that will land on our To Do list for later in the year.
All that said, WE ARE GOING TO GET STARTED WITH OUR 2019 PROJECTS PRONTO.
Our first project for the year will take place this coming Saturday, Jan 12, 9-Noon on SLP53. SLP53 is an awesome staircase that cuts from Winwood Place on the bottom up to Magee on the top. This is a fun shortcut for many, and we are going to spiff it up by adding some roadbase between the 6x6 steps, widening a small section of mostly flat pathway, and generally making a go of it.
Because we all need to be a tad cautious on these projects that require carrying roadbase down the steps I am going to ask for any of you that have any strong sons or daughters to bring them along. Bring your 30-something neighbor too! But we will find work for everyone that fits with their skills and fitness level.
Since the weather may be a bit IFFY I'd like to request that if you are planning to come PLEASE RSVP along with your cell number so that if I need to call a last minute audible I can do so easily. I am hoping for a minimum of 8 people!

See you Saturday!
